Our Team’s Offensive Line

If you’re anything like me, the year only has two seasons: football season and waiting-for-football season. There’s nothing quite like the competition of teams facing off in both athletic prowess and strategic planning.

Digital marketing can be very similar to football in many respects. We’re constantly recruiting hungry talent, training our players, and adjusting our game plan to bring home the big wins. The web is our gridiron, and helping brands score is at the core of our playbook.

For those unfamiliar with digital marketing and our roles here at Hurrdat/B² Interactive, we’ve created a football cheat sheet to explain our team positions. Since we’re all about scoring digital touchdowns, here’s what our offensive line looks like:

Athletic Director: Bill Hipsher, Co-Owner

Bill has the responsibility of making sure everything is working both on and off the field. Keeping players, coaches, and boosters happy all falls on his shoulders. Both behind the scenes and often center stage, we look to our AD to lead our program in the right direction.

Head Coach: Brandon Taylor, Co-Owner

On the field, Coach Brandon is responsible for big-picture planning, and he’s the first one out of the tunnel leading the team. He’s responsible for recruiting, identifying leaders, and overseeing the whole team’s strategy. As the head coach, he must be quick on his feet, ready to tackle any obstacle in the way of the team’s success, and always on the lookout for a Gatorade shower.

Offensive Coordinator: Creative Director

Max Riffner is our sultan of visual strategy. His role is to find the best creative solutions for our clients. His playbook is versatile, as he assembles a unique game plan for each agency partner. A winning strategy for one client may not work at all for another. Max is in charge of anticipating adjustments and making those calls.

Quarterbacks Coach: Account Executives

The account executives are responsible for setting the account managers up for success. They ensure the QB is game-ready for implementing digital marketing strategies on the field. These team members are experts at identifying opportunities and helping quarterbacks show off their best skills.

Quarterbacks: Account Managers

Account managers are the heart of the offense. They’re taking the ball and making sure the correct plays are executed. They need to be agile, focused, and be ready to call an audible at a moment’s notice. Quarterbacks are central to the success of the team.

Offensive Tackles: Paid Media

Our paid media squad is a great mix of strong and smart. They know the offensive playbook backwards, and are experts at moving the ball forward by creating opportunities. They’re able to make adjustments on the fly to ensure the touchdown. Maneuverability is this position’s strongest asset.

Tight Ends: Video

Our video squad is all about being versatile. Though sometimes their duties consist of conservative — but important — moves like running, blocking, and sealing the edge, this team’s unique talents usually make it a “Gronk-an” dynamic weapon that steals the show with big plays and four TDs.

Wide Receivers: Web Development and Design

This squad is built for the top 10. Their work often steals the show, and although they make it look easy, these individuals are extremely technical with their executions. These team members put a lot of personality into their position and are often very naturally gifted.

Center: Content

Everything starts with content. This crucial position can set everything in motion for a touchdown. Content needs to be big, smart, and quick. Centers need to identify opportunities and pave the way for other offensive positions.

Running Backs: SEO

The running backs of SEO have a lot of weight on their shoulders. These players are really jacks of all trades. They’re experts at hitting the gap and scoring big for brands as they move up the rankings, knowing the offensive scheme inside and out while also identifying potential defensive threats.
